The Automation Tester with Playwright will design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web-based applications. The role will review business and system requirements, translate test scenarios into automated test cases, analyze results, document defects, and help ensure that software releases meet agreed quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications
Review requirements and identify appropriate test automation strategies
Translate business and system requirements into automated test cases
Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing
Analyze test results and report software defects clearly and accurately
Test and validate defect fixes and newly developed functionality
Prepare test plans, effort estimates, test summary reports, and acceptance documentation
Collaborate with manual QA, development, business analysis, and project teams
Support the improvement of existing automation frameworks, tools, and QA processes
Execute manual test cases when necessary
Guide junior automation testers and support peer reviews of test cases and reports
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java, C, or C#
Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to collaborate effectively across teams
Must Have:
At least 3 years of automation testing experience using Selenium WebDriver with JavaScript or TypeScript
Training in or hands-on exposure to Playwright
At least 6 months of experience with AI technologies and AI implementation
Working knowledge of automation frameworks such as BDD, keyword-driven testing, or data-driven testing
Experience with API testing tools or frameworks such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST API
Strong understanding of test design techniques, QA methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle
Experience creating master test plans and automated test scripts
