We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable AWS data pipelines and curated datasets. The role will support operational reporting and analytics by delivering reliable, secure, and Tableau-ready data solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS.
Develop batch and near-real-time data ingestion processes.
Build curated datasets and standardized metric layers for operational KPIs.
Prepare optimized, Tableau-ready data sources, extracts, and views.
Implement data quality checks, pipeline monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
Establish automated testing, CI/CD, and code review practices.
Troubleshoot data incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with operations, governance, platform, and security teams.
Guide junior engineers and recommend data platform improvements.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
Experience handling operational, incident, SLA, or service management data is preferred.
Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, and access controls.
Experience mentoring junior data engineers is an advantage.
Must Have:
Strong experience in AWS-based data engineering and ETL/ELT development.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and curated data layers.
Proficiency in SQL and a programming language such as Python.
Experience preparing optimized datasets for Tableau.
Knowledge of pipeline monitoring, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and stakeholder management skills.
