Job Description

We are looking for a Release Manager who will oversee and coordinate the end-to-end release management lifecycle across multiple applications and IT projects. The role will work closely with project, development, testing, operations, and business teams to ensure releases are properly planned, assessed, coordinated, and deployed in a controlled and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders to support build, testing, and deployment activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Develop and maintain a centralized release schedule by working with project managers across multiple IT portfolios.

Plan and manage release timelines, deployment windows, and release cycles to ensure smooth implementation across projects.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact release schedules, quality, or overall project delivery.

Track release progress to ensure deployments are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and business expectations.

Facilitate release readiness assessments, milestone checkpoints, and go/no-go decision meetings prior to production deployment.

Prepare and maintain deployment documentation, implementation plans, operational runbooks, and other release-related artifacts.

Participate in change management and governance meetings to review release plans, discuss potential issues, and address deployment risks or dependencies.

Ensure releases comply with ITIL-aligned Release Management, Change Enablement, Service Validation, Deployment Management, and operational readiness practices.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related IT course.

Relevant experience in Release Management, IT Project Coordination, Deployment Management, or a similar role.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple releases and priorities simultaneously.

Must Have:

Experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, Change Management, or IT Service Management.

Strong experience in planning, coordinating, and managing software/application releases and deployments across multiple projects or teams.

Experience managing release schedules, deployment timelines, risks, dependencies, and milestones.

Familiarity with ITIL-aligned practices, including Release Management, Change Enablement, Deployment Management, and Service Validation.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with experience working across Development, QA, Project Management, Operations, and Business teams.
