The QA / Test Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of banking applications through effective test planning, test execution, defect management, and collaboration with business and technical teams. The role will support manual, automation, and testing governance activities across software development and implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and testable scenarios
Create and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans
Perform functional, system integration, regression, UAT, and defect validation testing
Log, track, and manage defects using testing or project tracking tools
Coordinate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify issues and requirements
Prepare test reports, execution status, defect summaries, and sign-off documentation
Support Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery environments
For automation roles, create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts when required
For lead roles, support test planning, QA governance, workload coordination, and team oversight
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related field
Junior to Senior QA/Test Analyst experience may be considered depending on role level
Banking, financial services, or regulated industry experience is an advantage
Experience with web, mobile, API, backend, or core banking application testing is an advantage
Basic SQL, API testing, or data validation experience is an advantage
ISTQB certification is a plus but not required
Good communication, time management, and organizational skills
Must be detail-oriented, committed, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced project environment
Must be amenable to 100% onsite work in Makati
Must Have:
Experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Test Analysis
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and test design techniques
Experience writing test cases, test scripts, and test documentation
Hands-on experience in functional, regression, SIT, UAT, and defect retesting
Experience using defect tracking or test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Experience working with business users, developers, BAs, and project teams
For automation QA: experience with automation tools or frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman/Newman, or similar tools is an advantage
For senior/test lead roles: experience in test planning, master test plans, QA process governance, or leading QA activities is an advantage
