We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives across the software delivery lifecycle. The role is responsible for test strategy, test automation, defect governance, release readiness, and mentoring QA team members while ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications.
Responsibilities:
Define test strategies, quality standards, and release quality gates.
Lead test planning, estimation, scope definition, and risk assessments for projects and releases.
Design, review, and oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT test cases.
Ensure requirements and user stories are testable, complete, and aligned with business objectives.
Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, severity assessment, and defect resolution tracking.
Provide quality recommendations and sign-offs for production releases.
Develop and maintain automated test suites for web, API, and backend systems.
Support CI/CD integration and improve test automation coverage and reliability.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and business teams on testing and release activities.
Mentor QA engineers and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
Experience leading testing activities for enterprise applications.
Automation testing experience is preferred; candidates with hands-on exposure through training or actual execution are welcome.
Experience mentoring or coaching QA team members.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Must Have:
Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
Experience creating test strategies, test plans, and quality governance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Experience with API, integration, system, and regression testing.
Strong understanding of defect management, release readiness, and risk-based testing.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
