Lead BI Engineer will lead the design, development, and support of enterprise BI solutions using SAP BusinessObjects and SAP BW/4HANA, ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performing reporting platforms.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for BI and analytics solutions
Develop and maintain SAP BusinessObjects (WebI reports, Universes)
Design and support SAP BW/4HANA data models and queries
Troubleshoot reporting, performance, and data issues
Manage BI platform operations, monitoring, and incident resolution
Collaborate with data engineering teams on Databricks and modern platforms
Ensure proper deployment using SAP ChaRM and transport processes
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and usability
Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in production support and cross-functional environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ownership mindset in managing both development and operations
Must Have:
Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 (WebI, Universe design)
Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA data modeling and queries
Experience with IDT, CMC administration, and BW Modeling Tools (Eclipse)
Strong SQL and data modeling skills (star schema, dimensional modeling)
Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments
Experience in SAP ChaRM and transport management
Proven experience in technical leadership or mentoring
